Light Street Café is located along Light Street, the UNESCO area in Penang Island. It is actually right opposite the Penang City Court or right after Convent Light Street School, at the corner of the junction of Green Hall and Light Street.

The shop itself is actually the heritage building near the tourist spot of Esplanade and Fort Cornwallis. Even though the café is not very big, there’s like 15 tables but it is simply cozy and fully air-conditional with Free Wi-Fi facilities and divided into smoking zone and non-smoking zone. This would definitely benefited people who are having their laptops, Blackberry or iphone with them all the time.

The interior of Light Street Café is pretty cool with warm lightings & decorated with antique decorative items & accessories. It is a place that good for geek food hunters and it is a Pork Free restaurant means you won’t find lard in cooking or pork in the menu.

Light Street Café is serving food that is similar to typical Old Town-liked kopitiam, but Light Street Café has more variety and the food are more towards Hainanese style. It’s famous for the breakfast & lunch which not only variety but also value for money. Some of the signature dish here are 32 Sandwiches, Kaya Toast, Penang Lam Mee, Hainanese Chicken Rice, Hainanese Chicken Chop, Foot Long Sausage, Curry Chicken with Roti Jala or Nasi Lemak, Fish Noodle and many more delighted food & drinks for our dear customers.

Private Functions

Light Street Cafe is able to arrange and offer menus for all kinds of private functions, parties and tour groups.

If you are visiting the cafe - we can arrange a sit down meal for parties of up to 50 people in comfort.

Menus start at RM20 for a single course meal including drinks, to RM70 for a buffet meal.
